On the Fairway » Solid Irons Set Up

Ball position plays an important roll in solid contact.

With longer irons, if you play the ball too far back (right of center), you will not have enough time to release the club. If you play the ball too far forward, you will need to lunge at the ball to get to it in time.

Lay shafts at the range to groove proper ball positions with each of your clubs.

Watch your set up! Get stacked over the ball with your weight balanced. I see many players favoring one side or the other.

Watch this to ensure that your ball positions, stance, and set up are spot-on with each club.
