Watch your grip!
A common error is to take your grip, then open the face. This sequence will send your balls wayward. Instead, open the clubface first, then take your grip.
If you struggle with keeping the clubface open through to your finish, then try a weaker grip. Otherwise, a neutral grip will most likely work best for you. Discuss with your pro! A weak grip helps keep the clubface open through impact.
Watch your press!
Do not forward press: This position delofts the club and will make it nearly impossible—without some crazy hand move—to utilize the bounce of the club. Your club will most likely dig into the sand. Instead, hands should be positioned in line with the club, and relax your hands so they sit low.
