Examining your divots can tell you much about what you’re doing right or wrong in your swing. How handy!
A GOOD DIVOT
A sign that the clubhead contacted the ball on the correct plane, not too deep or too shallow. Too shallow would produce no divot at all.
A BAD DIVOT: TOO BIG and at the WRONG ANGLE. If your divot looks like this, you are most likely slicing the ball by coming over-the-top. This divot is also too deep, a sign that the downswing angle was too steep.
