BAD SHOT FIXES » Directionally Challenged

Alignment around the green becomes critical for lower scores.

Our set up dictates what will happen at impact, whether it’s a low runner or a high soft shot. Knowing the right set up is key to achieve that success.

High flight with a soft landing requires an open set up.

With an open set up, my body is positioned left of the flag and left of a square set up. The key is to select your landing spot. The open set up will create a left-to-right spin. So when the ball lands, it rolls toward the hole. My target is the flag, so I’ll aim left of it. Body lines simply refer to your feet, hips, and shoulders, which are positioned slightly left of a square set up and the target line.
