Why’d It Go There?

Why’d It Go There?

Why do balls curve or veer off to the right or left?

There are two key variables:
1. Swing direction
2. Face orientation at impact (open, square or closed).

Is your swing direction moving left or is it moving right?
For a baby draw, strive for a slight in-to-out swing direction with a square to slightly closed face.

The more your path is moving left or right, the more your ball will curve. The curve depends on whether your face was open (slice) or closed (hook). A straight push or pull means your path and face were a match, but either too far right (push) or too far left (pull).
