Tough Bunker Shots » Upslope

An uphill slope in a bunker is not so bad, especially if you follow these key set up and execution points.

Position the ball ahead of center and open your stance. Angle your shoulders with the slope to ensure you do not dig into the hill. Instead, you’ll swing up the slope.

Make an aggressive swing up the slope. Keep your hands moving. The tendency is to dig the club into the hill. Your finish will be abbreviated, but make a concerted effort to get to a balanced finish.

Remember: On the backswing, cock your wrists fully and do choke down on the club for more control!
