Just because you are on the tee box, doesn’t mean you MUST use a driver. If you rip your driver and end up in the fairway bunker, where’s the advantage? Instead, use a wood or hybrid!
I often pull out my rangefinder and scope the fairway bunker to determine if it is in my driver radar. If it is, I select a different club.
