Welcome to Be a Great Ball Striker

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This More Pars Training focuses on HOW to get better contact from the fairway with my Lean–Rotate–Extend system that works! I see too many players frustrated from inconsistent contact, weak rights, low hooks, thin or fat shots. It’s time to say bye-bye to those worm burners and hello to solid! Our goal from the fairway is solid and long so we can get on the green in regulation.

Are you ready for better (much better) ball striking? Let’s get to it!

CERTIFICATION

On completion of your Training, you’ll receive a virtual achievement certificate that you can print and share on social touting your awesomeness!

Course Curriculum

STABILIZE
Striking the ball solid requires stability at the right time and the right way.

LEAN IN
Hitting the ball only happens with compression. Learn how to get that forward shaft lean.

ROTATE & EXTEND
Generating speed with your torso rotation (at the right time) with the extension of the shaft (release) is paramount for long and on target.

Efficiency of Swing Positions
From set-up, takeaway, backswing on through to the finish, we need to ensure that you are hitting key positions as efficient as possible.

Can you feel the ground?
Passive versus active ground engagement is a big deal.

Left vs Right Brain
Why you need to clear the deck before beginning your swing

Clubface to Path Relationship
Understanding the orientation of your clubface in relation to your swing path and target line is paramount.

 Consistent Low Point
The number one request from students is “I want more consistency” and it begins with a consistent low point.

 Tight Dispersion
Tight dispersion for approach shots and land spots in fairway based on level.

 More GIRs
Getting on the green in regulation will give you the best chance for more pars and birdies.

I need to “Get Under It”
This is a very popular term used among players. Learn why you need to define this and then rephrase it.

Where are you hitting the ball on the face?
High, low, toe or heel?

What is your face to path relationship?
Is your clubface open or closed to the path?

What are your Physical Limitations?
Do you have any mobility or stability limitations? Let’s find out.

What are your Swing Characteristics?
These are your swing tendencies. We all have them. It’s important to identify these.

STEP 1 SET-UP

– Grip’s Value
– Understand the Swing Arc
– Irons & Hybrids are Pals
– Ball & Sternum Position

STEP 2 HOW TO STABILIZE
– Understand the Whys
– Backswing Stabilizer
– Downswing Stabilizer

STEP 3 TORSO ROTATION
Learn HOW to properly rotate:
– Backswing
– Downswing
– Post-Impact
– Finish

STEP 4 LEAN IN
Learn HOW to transition like the pros! We do this with what I call the LEAN IN. Players go off by rotating open too soon with a steep shaft angle. We need the LEAN IN first before any downswing rotation occurs.

STEP 5 EXTEND & EXTENSION
Learn HOW to properly extend during the:
– Backswing
– Impact
– Post-Impact

STABILIZE
Groove trail and lead side stabilization

ROTATION
Groove your rotation technique in the back and downswing

LEAN IN
What it is, how and when to do it

EXTENSION
Extension is the release and follow-through. It is also spine and hip extension.

THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR

Things to watch out for as you groove the LEAN–ROTATE–EXTEND.

Strategies for Physical Limitations
Most everyone has a physical limitation of some type. This is a great section to work around these limitations as you train to resolve.

More Distance – Get What You Want
Groove your technique! Nick and Christina share their swings with keys to help you with yours! There is no cookie-cutter swing, but there are some essential keys to optimize center-face and efficiency.

Power Leaks – Swing Characteristics & Fixes
What’s your swing tendencies? We call these Swing Characteristics (over the top, casting, sway, slide). We all have them, and that’s okay. The key is to know yours and train to resolve.
