Improper ball position will lead your ball astray.
If your ball position is not correct, your club will bottom out in the wrong spot. Or you will compensate with your body to adjust, which you don’t want to do.
DRIVER & Ball Position
With your driver, be sure to play the ball off your front heel. I see many women tee the ball too far back. If you play the ball too far back, you will be striking the ball on a descending blow – making it very difficult to get the ball airborne.
IRONS & Ball Position
With mid-irons through to hybrids, the ball should be positioned left of center.
With your woods, position two balls off your front heel.
With your wedges and 7 irons, play the ball in the center of your stance.
An exception to this rule would be with chips around the green where sometimes a lower ball flight is desired. In that case, play the ball right of center.
