If you want more pars, let’s make sure that you are playing your chip shot from a slippery downhill lie, smart. I share the key set-up and in-motion points to get it close. So, let’s get to it!

  1. Which club would you use for this shot? I have 50, 54, and 58 degree wedges in my bag. That is where I get hung up on shots like that. I most likely would use my 58 on a shot like that since the pin is so close, but then it might get stuck in the rough. The 54 tends to run right through the green if they are firm and fast.

Great question, Nancy! I would use your most lofted club all day long, so for you that would be your 58 degree. The other clubs as you stated will not give you the height and will run out past the pin. The downslope adds to that equation.
