In this section, we are going to address the not-so-pretty shots that we experience off the tee box. This includes slices, hooks, and shots that go NOWHERE!
SLICES & HOOKS: If your ball is often anything but straight, then this section is for you. We’ll cover three main culprits: poor alignment; off-plane, either in the back or downswing; and fast tempo with a splash of tension.
NO DISTANCE: If you lack distance off the tee, then this section is for you. We’ll cover three main culprits: an unstable base; hinge failure; and two backswing no-no’s—overswinging and the fake turn. These culprits zap power!
