When teeing it up, pay attention to the tee markers.
They are typically not perfectly in line, and they may be pointing you directly into trouble. Many players inadvertently tee it up slightly ahead of the tee markers, and this is a rules breach! So be mindful and tee it up right!
A pair of tee markers defines the boundaries of the teeing ground. The front, left, and right sides of the tee are denoted by the outer edges of the tee markers. The teeing ground is two club lengths in depth. On the tee box, you must place your ball between the tee markers, either even with them or up to two club lengths behind them. Never in front of them.
