Finish Strong for Power
Incorporating this finish routine will accomplish two very important things:
A full finish keeps you and the clubhead moving through with maximum acceleration.
A full finish creates consistency in your swing. Finishing the same every time, even if the shot was less than desirable, ingrains good habits that will translate to good shots, or at least, good misses.
With a full finish, the majority of your weight will favor the outside of your front foot.
My back knee is touching or almost touching my front leg, indicating a good weight transfer. I am balanced and standing tall. Replicate this in your finish for success.
Power Failure: An off-balance finish is a clear sign that you failed to drive through. This may have resulted early in your swing. Ensure that you are loading with planted feet. Planted feet help you drive with power into the downswing and getting to your finish is easy peasy.
