Alignment around the green becomes critical for lower scores.
Our set up dictates what will happen at impact, whether it’s a low runner or a high soft shot. Knowing the right set up is key to achieving that success.
High soft shots require an OPEN STANCE: With an open set up, my body is positioned left of the flag and left of a square set up. The key is to select your landing spot. The open set up will create a left-to-right spin. So when the ball lands, it rolls toward the hole. My target is the flag, so I’ll aim left of it.
OPEN STANCE: Body lines {feet, hips, shoulders} are positioned slightly left of a square set up and the target line.
